Opening farewell
I like ending a day with this:
Watching the sunset this evening, I started singing that Jackson Browne song in my head.
Earlier today, I'd been thinking about Sandy, Auntie Betty, the Lake. Then I got a sweet note from Tia -- more lake thoughts. Then Jackson starts singing in my head, evoking all the places I've watched the sun set over water. How does invisible music do that?
I've had more practice with hellos and goodbyes this last six months than I have in years. Guess I needed to practice. Hope I've improved a bit.
I arrived here last November with a 22 inch suitcase, knowing no one.
And now the goodbyes have begun on this end, soon to be followed by hellos on the other side.
My last Raglan sunset. For now.
Mmmmmmmmmmm.
